Last night for dinner was my super easy lemon chicken and more sauteed brussel sprouts. Yes, I am obsessed. I literally crave brussel sprouts 24/7 these days.
While I was working on dinner I had a loaf of banana bread in the oven. I had a bunch of really ripe bananas that weren't going to get eaten either way, so I decided to make banana bread and had actually been fantasizing about it all day yesterday. Instead of my healthy version, I went with the usual unhealthy version instead. It was worth every calorie.
I will post the recipe for this at a later date.
Breakfast this morning was similar to yesterday...a yogurt bowl with blueberries, honey, granola, and instead of the strawberries I added a banana and pom arils. Even though this is a big bowl, I've found the last few days that it's just not holding me over like it should. I am definitely more of a carb person in the morning. Tomorrow may be an oatmeal day.
For lunch I have a few slices of the banana bread I made last night and a bowl of Campbell's chicken noodle soup waiting because I was just too lazy to make myself a salad or sandwich this morning like I really should have. Sometimes convenience wins out. Ok more than sometimes, more like often. Whatever.
See you tomorrow for ten things! Do you find that you need carbs in the morning to keep you full until lunch? What meal works best to keep you full?
I'm with you, I crave brussel sprouts every day too. I love that stuff! your chicken looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteyes I definitely need carbs in the AM! either oatmeal with a banana or an english muffin with PB and a banana :-)
ReplyDeleteEveryone must have bananas on the brain :)
ReplyDeleteI do love me some carbs in the morning but also need protein to stay full - like protein powder or almonds in my oatmeal or egg whites with toast!
I used to need a decent sized breakfast to stay full until lunch, but now that I start working 2 hours later than I used to I typically only have coffee.
ReplyDeleteI need carbs in the morning too but I always need to have protein with it! Otherwise I find myself getting hungry rather quickly!
